We raise grass-fed/grass-finished cattle, forested and pasture-raised heritage breed hogs, pasture-raised laying hens, and pasture-raised meat birds.

WHY WE NEED YOU We are seeking a self-motivated, skilled individual with at least 2 years of practical farm and animal handling experience.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about regenerative farming and is well versed in at least two of the following subjects:
animal husbandry, rotational grazing, soil building principles, permaculture, forestry, silvopasture.
We are a growing farm and have a great farm team in place, come join our team and grow with us.
The farm hand will be involved in all aspects of Tabula Rasa Farms' pasture-based livestock production including cow/calf operation duties, heritage cross hogs, laying hens, meat ducks and donkeys, as well as any and all general farm activities.
The position also involves but is not limited to basic carpentry, tractor work, basic mechanics, fence repair, simple plumbing, grounds maintenance, and simple record keeping.
During the summer you may be expected to work with interns and agri-tourists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assisting in all day to day farm activities Animal care (feeding, watering, birthing, moving fences and assisting with associated treatments and feed cost analysis Assisting in planning & implementing rotational grazing plans, moving animals, c Field work (mowing, haying, seasonal planting, building fences and waterlines) Occasional construction or repairs of new or existing farm buildings, structures and facilities Assist fellow TRF staff and interns with farm related projects Other duties as required This job requires a valid drivers license with no citations or minimal low-level citations Will be required to drive company vehicles, UTVs, and farm equipment Job Type:
Full-time Hours of Work:
This is a full time position requiring 40-55 hours of work.
Farm Hands will have 2 days off, except in special situations and days off are not always weekends.
Compensation:
This position is a full time, hourly position.
Compensation based on skills and experience.
