Hospitality to all species is the central mission of The Ground.
This position plays a critical role in every aspect of the guest experience both at Inn the Ground and our other accommodations.
It is an active and hybrid role that is much more than a typical front desk position.
Every day is different but could involve assisting in guest arrivals, concierge services, reservations, breakfast service, housekeeping, tours, errands, supporting campus events or corporate meetings, and more.
This is a part time position, 20-30 hours that will transition to full time later in the spring.
Typically, the schedule is Friday through Monday (weekends and evenings).

What you'll do:
Innate enthusiasm to provide exceptional guest experiences to everyone through all aspects of The Ground's diverse hospitality offerings.
Perform front desk duties, such as answering phones, emails, check in & check out and reservations.
Supervise procedural aspects of the Front Desk, maintaining a presence during peak arrival & departure periods.
Provide concierge services in recommending and booking local experiences for guests Up to date knowledge of all Ground related activities, amenities and events Assist with breakfast service as needed both in service and setup and cleanup Assist in housekeeping as needed particularly checking rooms and setup for arrivals, occasional stripping of rooms Develop and maintain positive working relationships with our small team where everyone pitches in anywhere needed to get things done.
Other duties as assigned Position Requirements Previous hospitality experience in guest facing roles preferred Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Strong customer service or guest relations experience required including basic negotiation skills.
Local knowledge a big plus as we curate many guests' full itineraries.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members, managers, clients, guests or the general public.
Ability to work well with others as part of a small team within and across departments.
Good computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Opera PMS experience a plus Strong personal management skills, including time management, problem solving, planning and organizing.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
